More thoughts on Health Care 1

According the this article, most of what President Obama desires in a health care plan, seems reasonable. I think he is missing a few major things.

Just my opinion:

  1. Mandatory price publishing – just like we have nutrition information, every procedure should be priced and published. That’s the “all inclusive” price.
  2. Mandatory across the board rates for all customers and plans. If losing 10 lbs will put me into a lower rate, I should know that easily. If AT&T has a plan, I should be able to sign up for that same plan, at the same rate.

A government plan scares me as something that we will be leaving to future generations as an albatross. Sorta like social security (which I’m against). I consider social security a huge failure.

    Whatever plan gets pushed onto America, congress needs to lead the way by participating in the same plan. No more special congress-only plan.

    See health care for congress is different than for everyone else in the country. My understanding is that it is a 100% coverage, no deductible, whatever it costs plan. Not bad for 1 day of service in either legislative house. I’m jealous.
