Review Gnome 3 and OpenSUSE 12
Our friend Steve over at My Linux Rig did a review on Gnome 3 and OpenSUSE 12.
Since he’s running LXDE too, like I do, so his perspective on bloat and speed were compelling for me.
I ran OpenSUSE for about a year and it was very stable.
The main take-away from the review for me was that Gnome3 has matured and isn’t super-different from Gnome2 anymore, even on low performance laptops. It is usable and worth watching if you don’t have the hardware to drop it on for a test run.
