37% ACA (Obamacare) increase in 2018! 1

Update for 2018. 37% higher than in 2017!!! 387% higher than I paid in 2014 plus the deductible is much higher and the coverage is much worse.

3.87x more money and zero better options. No question to me why the democrats didn’t win the last presidential election. Their decisions on this are costing me thousands more yearly and I’m on the cheapest plan available in my state.

My real monthly rates:

2015 $321
2016 $365
2017 $419 Bronze Plan
2018 $574 Bronze Plan

I have ZERO medical issues, besides being slightly overweight and wearing glasses.
ZERO medications besides the very occasional Sudafed for sniffles.

    So, I just renewed the plan for 2018. There are 2 insurance companies offering anything here. The other one has cheaper plans, but I wasn’t able to find any good information about their coverage. I was able to find 1/5 star ratings for that company. Their current customers think they are a scam. So, I decided to pay $575/month ($574.58) rather than the cheaper, $542 plan offered by that other company. I’d never heard of the company – it only offers plans in 12 states, if that helps.

    Just to be clear, there are 2 companies offering about 10 different plans in my state. That isn’t exactly competition, especially when one company seems to be hated more than the CATV company is.

    The ACA needs to be terminated ASAP. I’d like to buy the insurance we need, not the insurance some federal paper pusher thinks we should have.

    I miss being part of the Costco Insurance Group. I really do.
